HR Administrator

Willmotts Transport is one of the largest independent warehousing and distribution companies in the South West, based in Westfield, Radstock we are looking for HR Administrator to join our friendly team, this is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who would like to start their career in HR.

Key Responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Advertising new vacancies and monitoring applications, forwarding CVs to managers, arranging interviews, and responding to candidates with feedback

  • Supporting the offer and on boarding process including preparing offer paperwork, carrying out pre-employment checks, ensuring all necessary paperwork is scanned and filed electronically

  • Preparing induction schedules for new starters and delivering the HR induction.

  • Using the HRIS ‘People HR’ to accurately uphold employee records, take actions and manage people data

  • Deal with in-coming phone calls appropriately

  • Adding training and competency records to the training portal

  • Logging sickness and other absence on HR System

  • Uniform management and distribution

  • Use initiative to complete HR tasks thus alleviating the HR Directors workload

  • Work collaboratively with HR team and wider business to achieve company aims

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent administration skills, with previous recruitment and/or HR administration beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided

  • Strong Communication skills with a professional and confidential approach to work

  • Organised approach with great attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Capability to report correct information to colleagues

  • Not easily phased by working in fast paced environment, often speaking to tradespeople

  • Highly competent in Microsoft

Additional Details:

  • Hours of work Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm with 30 mins for lunch. (40 hours)

  • 28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays

  • After 2 year’s unbroken service employees will receive an additional day’s holiday which will increase by an extra day (pro rata where necessary) after each additional full years’ service up to a maximum of 3 days.

  • Starting salary £26,000 per annum dependant on experience

  • Workplace Salary Exchange Pension

  • After a successful probationary period work towards CIPD Level 5 under the apprenticeship levy

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
